BEAR ISLAND MOSAIC WORKSHOPS

Glass and tile mosaics are dazzling to the eye, combining rich colors and patterns. Mosaics offer the artist endless opportunities for creativity and imaginative exploration.

Join Joshua Winer, mosaicist and muralist, for a week long workshop on beautiful Bear Island in penobscot Bay, off the coast of Maine. Learn traditional techniques in a natural island setting, using Italian glass smalti, vitreous glass tile, beach stones, colored cements and grouts as you create your own original mosaic panels.

Sleeping accommodations are in an historic home on Bear Island. Delicious meals, ferry transportation and materials are all included in the cost of this workshop.
